Nuance’s Dragon NaturallySpeaking Goes Wireless with Plantronics CS60-USB Headset

SYDNEY, Australia, 16 November 2007 – Nuance Communications (NASDAQ: NUAN), a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, today announced the availability of Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® Preferred Wireless 9, which comes bundled with the CS60-USB wireless headset from Plantronics, the world leader in communications headsets. This new release allows users to take advantage of Nuance’s leading speech recognition technology with the freedom to dictate without cumbersome headset cables.

The new Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred Wireless 9 with Plantronics CS60-USB headset adds a totally wireless solution to the Dragon family. Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred 9, introduced in August 2006, enables small business and advanced PC users to create documents, spreadsheets and email simply by speaking. Dictations can be made instantly and accurately into Microsoft Word and Excel, Corel WordPerfect and virtually all Windows-based applications.

The Plantronics CS60-USB headset has an operating range of up to 100 metres and a talk time of up to nine hours (60 hours standby time), giving the user a tremendous amount of wireless freedom in the office throughout the entire business day. The CS60-USB has a fast recharge time and, in addition to Dragon NaturallySpeaking, is compatible with internet telephony applications such as Skype and Windows Live Messenger.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 was introduced in August 2006 and is available in Standard, Preferred, Professional and Preferred Mobile versions. From the end of September 2007, Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred Wireless 9 will be available as a bundle with the Plantronics CS60-USB wireless headset in Australia and New Zealand, and is priced at AUD$699.95 (Australia) and NZD$699.00 (New Zealand).
